Contact me via Instagram DM, email solidaritysoundnc@gmail.com, or call/text 336-314-8707. Tell me what gear you need, your dates, and whether you prefer pickup or delivery. I will respond within 24 hours.
02. Quote & Hold
I confirm availability and provide a quote based on daily, weekly, or monthly rates. No hidden fees. To hold the gear, I require a signed rental agreement and payment of the rental fee plus the refundable deposit. First paid, first reserved – I do not hold gear without payment.
03. Pickup or Delivery
If picking up, we meet at my storage location in Summerfield. For delivery, I calculate mileage at $0.70 per mile round trip. Drop‑off only is free; setup or teardown is $20 each, or $35 for both. At pickup, I inspect the gear together with you, note any existing wear, and you sign the agreement. You must present a valid government‑issued ID (driver’s license or passport) – I will take a photo of it for my records. No exceptions.
04. During Rental
You are responsible for the gear. Normal wear (light scuffs, fret wear, tube aging) is on me. Broken strings are normal wear and not charged. If you need to extend the rental, contact me before the due date; I will send an updated agreement and collect additional payment. If the gear is damaged, lost, or stolen, notify me immediately.
05. Return & Deposit Refund
Return the gear by the agreed date/time. I inspect it together with you. If it is in the same condition (minus normal wear), I refund your full deposit within 24 hours via the same payment method. If there is damage beyond normal wear, I deduct the actual repair cost from the deposit and refund the remainder. If damage exceeds the deposit, you are responsible for the balance. Late returns incur a $15 per day late fee deducted from the deposit. Unreturned gear after 7 days will be reported as stolen.

Delivery & Setup
Mileage $0.70 per mile round trip from Summerfield. Drop‑off only: $0. Setup OR teardown: $20. Both setup and teardown: $35. On‑site tech (staying for event): $25 per hour after the first hour.
Refundable Deposits
Every rental requires a deposit. It is fully refundable when gear is returned in the same condition as pickup (normal wear excepted). Deposits are returned within 24 hours after inspection. I accept Square, Venmo, and cash.
Damage Fee Schedule
Normal wear includes light scuffs, fret wear, tube aging, and broken strings – these are not charged. Actual damage beyond normal wear will be deducted from the deposit at the following rates:

If repair costs exceed the deposit, the renter is responsible for the balance. All repairs will be documented with receipts.
Late Returns & Theft
Late return fee: $15 per day, deducted from deposit. If gear is not returned within 7 days after the due date, it will be considered stolen. A police report will be filed, and the renter will be liable for the full Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the missing items.
What Is Mutual Aid?
Mutual aid means we help each other. No one gives without receiving. At Solidarity Sound, I offer gear, space, and labor in exchange for your time, skills, or financial support. This keeps the library running and accessible to everyone.
Supporter – Time for Rent
You give: 2 hours of labor – cleaning gear, small repairs, helping with pickups, or assisting at events.
I give: 1 free rental day (rental fee waived; deposit still applies).
Gear Fund Contributor – Money for Voice
You give: a one‑time contribution to the gear fund (suggested $50–100, any amount helps).
I give: voting rights on future gear purchases. You help decide what the library buys next.
Partner Organization – Mutual Agreement
You give: promotion of Solidarity Sound to your members, referrals, shared resources, or collaborative events.
I give: discounted gear rentals for your members and cross‑promotion of your organization.
We sign a simple Mutual Aid Agreement – no legal jargon, just a handshake on shared values. Open to tool libraries, bike co‑ops, community fridges, mutual aid networks, and any aligned group. Contact me to start the conversation.
